History

During its initial development, the amphitheater was built without a roof. However, due to the severe weather of Genting Highlands, especially at night, it was later decided that a roof was required. The first show of the amphitheater consisted of acts by Sally Yeh and George Lam in January 1998. The 2007 Zee Cine Award show was held at the amphitheater, necessitating a further upgrade to the facilities: the make-up rooms received a large improvement to meet the 5-star class of make-up rooms.

In 2002, it was the site of the 3rd IIFA Awards, the premier award show that honors both the artistic and technical excellence of professionals in Bollywood.
